Netball Stars
On Saturday 4th October, the Year 5 Rutherford House team competed in the Streatham & Clapham Netball Tournament and finished in an impressive second place! The team played incredibly well, narrowly missing out on first place by just 1 or 2 points. Everyone is really finding their feet, growing in confidence, and showing great improvement each time they play. We’re excited to see what they can do at the Thomas’s Tournament after half term!
The following week on Saturday 11th October, Rutherford House took part in the Year 6 Tournament. The team played exceptionally well, finishing with 5 wins and 3 losses against some very tough opposition. Their strong performance earned them a joint 5th place out of 15 teams—a fantastic result! Player of the Tournament was awarded to Isla, who played brilliantly throughout. It was a true team effort, and everyone should be proud of their performance!
Our pupils showed fantastic teamwork and determination at the recent netball tournaments hosted by St Thomas Clapham. Both our Year 5 and Year 6 teams represented the school brilliantly, playing with great energy, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day. They demonstrated impressive skill on the court and supported one another with enthusiasm in every match. I’m incredibly proud of their hard work and the positive attitude they brought to both tournaments.
Well done to all who took part!
